Peter Holden, CEO
Peter Holden has been a professional actor since the age of 8. He began his career in the regional theatre, and starred in his first international TV show at 14, From Oregon with Love, (a comeback episode of which beat out Game 3 in the Japanese World Series in ratings). He has starred in 3 (three) pilots, guest starred in over 30 episodic and starred in over 30 films. Some recent acting credits include: TV- Scrubs, Cold Case, 24, Frazier,NYPD Blue, The District, Miss Match, Gilmore Girls, C.S.I.; FILM- Drowning (being released fall 2009), The Triangle, Pandemic, Saints and Soldiers (winner of 21 festival best pictures, 5 best actors and nom. for best film 2005 Spirit Awards), No Turning Back (winner of ALMA for Best Picture); THEATRE- Been in over 50 productions in NY, LA and London. Most recently starred in and produced, (along with Robert Dolan), the critical and box office 2006 LA hit production of Glengarry/Glen Ross- Rat Bastard Productions first theatre piece.
Besides acting, over the years Peter has been involved in numerous business ventures. He was Marketing Director for the Pasadena Playhouse for 3 years, (he designed numerous successful and innovative theatrical sales strategies, many of which were transported to other regional theatres. These programs resulted in over $5 million in individual ticket sales and a raise in season subscribers of over 35% at the Pasadena Playhouse). He was a founding partner and CMO for internet startup company LAPLAYZ.com, (for 4 years the most used and consistently up to date wed site for theatre patrons in LA County. Also initiated business out reach programs to theatre’s in the area, boosting revenue for both the theatre’s and LAPLAYZ.com). Also was a founding partner and sales consultant for BAYPLOTTER.com. He has business-produced two music albums (Sandi Milne and Ticking Time Blond both written and performed by Sandi Milne and have been consistent sellers on Amazon and Taxi plus has places 3 songs for 3 feature film soundtracks).
Peter began Rat Bastard Productions with Robert Dolan in June of 2006. He is very proud of the company’s progress. RBP’s first theatre venture was a huge hit. We have our first $4.5 million feature, DOWN FOR LIFE, premiering at Toronto 2009. And our first of 5 features (Life at these Speeds) being produced back to back beginning production in summer of 2009.
Peter attended the University of Portland on a full ride acting scholarship.
